  1. Documented

Special Chief Secretary, Youth Advancement, Tourism & Culture; Director, ArchaeologyMember Secretary, Telangana Finance Commission

On 31 Mar 2025 she reposted on X an AI-generated image (earthmovers, two deer, a peacock) about the felling of trees on 400 acres at Kancha Gachibowli next to the University of Hyderabad, which the state planned to develop and students were protesting; the Supreme Court halted the felling. Cyberabad police served her a notice under s.179 BNSS as a witness and examined her. About a week later she was moved back to the Finance Commission post she held before November 2024. NDTV notes she had been Secretary to the CM under the previous BRS government and was moved out of the CMO when the Congress came to power.

    Up against
Telangana government (over the Kancha Gachibowli land), Congress Government: Revanth Reddy (Congress), Telangana.
    Reported reason
No reason stated; reports place the move after the police notice.
    The officer said
'Have fully cooperated with Gachibowli police authorities and given my detailed statement as a law-abiding citizen under the BNSS Act.' and 'If not, this raises concern about selective targeting, that in turn compromises the #principles of #natural justice and equality before the Law' (X posts quoted by TNIE).
    The other side said
Part of a 20-officer reshuffle the day after a new Chief Secretary was named (HT, NDTV). Police did not respond to TNIE.
    Outcome
Returned to the Finance Commission post.
    What became of the matter
Unknown. Outcome of the police case over AI images not traced.
